I've been having walks Down by the dock These nights The fourth ward never grows quiet I've moved away from the killing grounds White Chapel's sleeping safe and sound Across the sea Away from me Mary Jane's gone and I'm moving on Mary Jane's gone and I'm moving on I'm still looking for an answer I'm still looking for a cure On the New York shore I never liked what became of me Fate turned me into a celebrity I'm a dying man But I have a plan I'll take you apart I'll turn you into art And take what I need To find out what's wrong with me Mary Jane's gone and I'm moving on Mary Jane's gone and I'm moving on I'm still looking for an answer I'm still looking for a cure On the New York shore I'm writing this letter from Room number thirty-one And I've killed another one So you'd better come quick

I took your notes and burned them I tore the pages and threw them away I'm not gonna need them Not when you're too afraid to stay Nothing goes as planned It all gets torn to pieces Nothing goes as planned Though sometimes you can't see it Put them back together I took my suit out of the closet The one I thought I'd never wear again I put my roses on her casket My heart was empty even then Nothing goes as planned It all gets torn to pieces Nothing goes as planned Though sometimes you can't see it Put them back together I check the days off as they slip away I see my pages going blank With all these people who have bothered to stay Maybe I can hope for roses on my grave Nothing goes as planned It all gets torn to pieces Nothing goes as planned Though sometimes you can't see it Put them... BOOM CRASH BANG

Dear Maria 04:24
With her nose in a book And her head in the clouds A cool breeze would carry her into town And she'll pass me by Almost every day But I never know what to say Dear Maria Will I see you again? You're everything I need Dear Maria Will I see you again? You'll never let me be Dear Maria You belong to me My head in a daze And her books on the shelf I quietly call out for help And she reaches up Oh so carefully And I see on her finger, a ring Dear Maria Will I see you again? You're everything I need Dear Maria Will I see you again? You'll never let me be Dear Maria You belong to me With my hands in the dirt And sweat on my brow I lower her gently into the ground And she'll sleep now Peaceful from hereon And I'll join her soon, with the dawn Dear Maria Will I see you again? You're everything I need Dear Maria Will I see you again? You'll never let me be Dear Maria You belong to me

He sits at his desk every night And he burns the candle from both sides He spends every day, filling the pages With the mistakes that he's made Writing letters to the dead Letters that never get read He writes of how he's learned from the past And he's got so many questions to ask them They could start again, he'd make up for all his sins If he only knew where to begin Writing letters to the dead Letters that never get read Every night I can see All the loves I've burned away They never answer me, try as I might But I'll always write These letters to the dead Letters that never get read

Black River 04:53
Sitting at the top of a pillowy cloud A girl waits for the boy And watches as the letters she wrote to her love Are torn apart and destroyed Standing underneath a pillar of smoke I wait for you my dear And watch as all the plans and dreams we had Slowly disappear Black River's burning And you're turning into someone else Black River's burning Burning Black River's burning And you're turning into someone else Black River's burning Burning

about

Recorded here and there and off and on in a garage and two living rooms. We made up the rule that all the instruments played on this album had to actually exist in 1891. Hence the distinct lack of bass. Oh how we want an upright bass...
